I had scored 96.16% in my sslc examination from Karnataka board where in I had secured 123/125 in Kannada as 1st language. I had been a participatory in Kannada debate in a State level competition as well. So I feel I hold a strong grip in kannada language, I would relate the academics to the real life events of a student so that the student may not feel he/she is learning something difficult.
