About Anna
As a native Mandarin speaker with a Master’s degree in Chinese-English Translating and Interpreting, I bring a high level of academic rigour and linguistic precision to my teaching. My foundation in language education runs deep; during my undergraduate studies, I completed extensive coursework in Chinese language and literature, phonetics, and advanced grammar. This is also when I began my teaching career, gaining valuable hands-on experience as a part-time English and Mandarin tutor.
Beyond my academic qualifications, I am a deeply passionate language learner myself. Fluently speaking four languages—Chinese, English, Russian, and Japanese—has provided me with invaluable, firsthand insight into the mechanics of language acquisition and the common hurdles students face along the way.
I firmly believe that every student possesses unique talents, strengths, and learning habits. Because of this, I strongly oppose rigid, "one-size-fits-all" teaching methods that can stifle a learner's progress.
