About Carlota

I’m Carlota, a native Portuguese speaker, and teaching my language is something I genuinely love. I have experience teaching Portuguese to a range of learners, including refugees, which has taught me to be patient, adaptable and sensitive to each student’s needs. I’m also currently completing my teacher training, which gives me a strong understanding of how people learn and how to plan clear, engaging lessons.

Growing up with Portuguese means I can share not only correct grammar and natural pronunciation, but also the expressions, culture and everyday habits that textbooks often miss. I prepare every lesson around my student’s level and goals, track progress carefully, and work confidently with learners of all ages. I’m always punctual, reliable and encouraging.

My aim is simple: to help you speak Portuguese with confidence and enjoy every step along the way.

About the class

Olá! I’m Carlota, a native Portuguese tutor, and I love helping people discover the language of Portugal. My online lessons last between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on what suits you, and are fully tailored to your goals, whether that’s travel, family, work, moving to Portugal or exams.

Each lesson blends real conversation with clear grammar explanations and authentic pronunciation, so you build confidence speaking from day one. I use dialogues, short texts, music and everyday situations to keep things practical and enjoyable.

I confidently teach all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers, including GCSE and A level students. Let’s get you speaking Portuguese!
