About Rafaela

Hi! I’m Rafa, a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with an international background. I grew up in Brazil, lived in Spain for many years, and now live in Australia, so languages and different cultures have always been a big part of my life.

I speak Portuguese, Spanish, and English, which helps me understand the challenges of learning a new language and communicating with confidence.

I’m friendly, patient, and easy-going, and I want my students to feel comfortable speaking from day one. My classes are a judgment-free space where making mistakes is part of learning.

I love teaching not only the language, but also Brazilian culture, everyday expressions, pronunciation, and the Portuguese you’ll actually use in real life.

Whether you’re learning Portuguese for travel, work, relationships, moving to Brazil, or simply because you love the language, I’d love to help you reach your goals.

About the class

My classes are personalized to each student’s goals, level, and learning style. Whether you want to learn Portuguese for travel, work, relationships, or simply to communicate with confidence, I will adapt each lesson to what you actually need.

I focus on real-life communication, combining conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, listening, and practical exercises. From the beginning, I encourage my students to speak Portuguese without being afraid of making mistakes. I also love bringing Brazilian culture, everyday expressions, and natural Portuguese into my lessons, so you learn how people really speak.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, but we can also arrange longer sessions depending on your goals and availability.

As a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker who also speaks Spanish and English, I understand what it is like to learn and communicate in different languages. My multicultural experience allows me to explain concepts in different ways and help students feel comfortable and confident throughout the learning process.

My goal is simple: to help you speak Portuguese naturally, confidently, and enjoy the process along the way
