About Gabriela
I have a Licenciate Degree in Languages (Portuguese) from UFRJ and 7 years of experience as a Portuguese teacher. I taught in Pre-University Courses and private schools in Rio de Janeiro, lecturing for students from 10 years old to adults preparing for public exams.
I also have been working as a private teacher since 2017.
In addition to being a Portuguese teacher, I'm eager for knowledge, especially in the arts field... And I love talking about what I know, so being a teacher comes natural for me! I always sought to experience the classroom and Didactics ended up becoming another passion. I participated in several projects focused on developing this skill and I was able to improve in practice - over these 7 years of experience - the art of teaching. And I keep seeking to train myself, because being a teacher is an eternal learning experience.

Teachers usually talks a lot, but I also like to listen! I believe good teaching must be based on an assessment of each student's conditions, needs and capabilities. I find it essential that each student build their relationship with the subject and I seek to foster this relationship by connecting textual knowledge to subjects of interest to each person. That's why I listen, identify needs and interests and propose activities the student can connect with.
