I received my initial Bachelors later in life, but I had a great deal of workforce knowledge and direction going into it. I began teaching simple Sunday School before my daughter was born (she's 24 now). When she was 18 months, I was able to stay at home with her and when she began pre-school, I had already become one of her future teachers and when she graduated, she became my TA an has now gone into a grad program for Special Ed. I have been tutoring professionally since 2000 and have worked in multiple states. With groups as well as individuals, I have worked with over 150 people. Many individuals were prepping for the PSAT, SAT, ACT and GED tests. There were many in college, especially in the Psych department, that I worked with and was able to watch them learn, grow, and graduate. I believe I am a very good tutor because I am empathetic, kind, loving, intelligent, and can hold my own in almost every circumstance. Because I do not find harsh criticism or judgement to be effective for any positive work, it is quite easy to remain happy and calm which I believe becomes almost symbiotic when working with another.
