I am a university student from Shanghai, China, currently studying at the University of Birmingham. So I can speak standard Mandarin, some Shanghainese, and have the ability to explain their meanings to students in English. The reason why I want to be a teacher is that I encountered many difficulties in learning Chinese when I was young, but after overcoming these difficulties, I found that Chinese is a beautiful and elegant language.
