About Linda
Knowing many of us are using the extra time we have to learn new skills during Covid-19, I want to give back to the community by sharing my love and knowledge of languages with people of all ages from all over the world!
I work full time as a project manager for a FTSE 250 company in the UK. In my spare time, I love to travel and language is a great tool to connect with people from all over the world! I grew up in Taiwan and am a native speaker of Mandarin. When my family moved to Australia in the 90s, I learnt English at school and my learning for Mandarin carried on through attending Chinese school.
In my adulthood, I've found that the language foundation I've built in my school years have allowed me to connect with so many others during my travels. I've enjoyed many Chinese novels, TV shows and continue to be active in the overseas Chinese community.

I believe language learning should be fun and it is more than just learning a language. It is also important to learn about new customs, culture, history, etc. Having a greater understanding of how people live on the other side of the world is really helpful in the journey of learning a new language. This is why I will focus on teaching the language as well as share my knowledge about the Chinese culture and make the classes relevant to real life as much as possible.
For first time students, we will begin with a free 15mins chat. In this session, we will discuss your current language skills and find out which areas you would like to focus on during these tutoring classes. You may want help with your school work, have an upcoming trip to Asia, or just interested in leaning this beautiful language. This would give me an understanding of your language level and help me tailor future classes that is best for your needs.
My timing is flexible so drop me a note to discuss.
