About Vivienne
Hello! I am a law student at Sciences Po. Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, I am passionate about language acquisition. As for my teaching experience, I have been tutoring for children and young adults for the past 3 years. Besides mandarin, I also speak English fluently, and hence the course could be conducted in English or French, or even a mix of Chinese / French / English- this will depend on the level of student.
I have also helped students take Chinese language exams run by the Chinese government, i.e. the HSK.

For me, the goal is to give students the ability to express themselves in Chinese with confidence, spontaneity and clarity. The pedagogy for students at beginner’s level will start with learning Chinese characters, as well as the logic of the Chinese language, which is of great importance for learning a language like Chinese where there isn’t really any grammar rules.
For students of more advanced level, more time will be dedicated to the comprehension of texts, i.e. news, literature etc.
A personalised curriculum will be designed for each students.
