Rooted in stillness and mindfulness, Yin Yoga is a meditative practice that targets the deeper connective tissues, improving flexibility and energy flow while promoting relaxation and inner peace. This is great for quietening your mind and setting intentions for your subconscious to pick up on.
What is Yin Yoga?: Yin Yoga is a gentle yet profound practice that involves holding poses (asanas) for an extended period, typically 2–5 minutes. This allows for a deep stretch in the ligaments, joints, and fascia while fostering a calm, reflective state. It’s perfect for all levels, emphasising self-awareness and going at your own pace. Classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced yogis.
What’s Included in Each Class?: Inspired by a "3 course-meal" approach, my Yin Yoga sessions are carefully structured to guide you through a holistic experience:
The Starter (Breathwork): Begin with calming breathwork exercises to centre your mind, set an intention for the class and prepare your body for the practice.
The Main Course (Asanas / Poses): Dive into a series of Yin Yoga poses, held gently and mindfully, to release tension and enhance flexibility. Each pose is an opportunity to connect deeply with your body and emotions.
The Dessert (Shavasana & Guided Meditation): End the session with a restorative Shavasana and a soothing guided meditation to integrate the practice and leave you feeling refreshed and grounded.
