About Tyrone
I am a dedicated musician and educator based in Wellington, New Zealand. I started teaching myself guitar when I was 11 years old, which developed into a lifelong passion.
Throughout the years, I have expanded my knowledge, technique and understanding of several instruments, vocals and Musical Theatre. And I have gained qualifications from Trinity College in Music Theory, Guitar, Vocals and Drums.
As a composer, I have created two original music projects, allowing me to explore my art and gain a lot of onstage experience.
I have been teaching since 2009, I enjoy teaching because it gives me a chance to share my passion for music with others. I previously held the position of Head of Music Department at Anua School of Performing Arts in South Africa, before moving to New Zealand in 2018, where in addition to teaching I also gained experience in Sound Engineering, Event Planning, Choreography, Stage Arrangement, Drama, Dance, and Talent Scouting.
