It depends on student's interest. If he/she wishes to take it up as hobby, can start with Spanish Guitar. It includes Strumming Patterns, Percussive Strumming, Singing with Guitar (Hollywood/Bollywood songs), Playing Tunes and Guitar Intros eg. Nothing Else Matters, Dooba Dobba etc.
I go with the music theory first so that my students can learn the building blocks of music and then comes the individuals feel. It takes time and depends on the number of hours you dedicate to the instrument.
