My teaching methods are based upon the world-class techniques that I've learnt over the years from the masters in the industry. These include inculcating a visual perception to enable accurate drawing and recognition of relative shapes, values and colours. When learnt thoroughly, just by observation, the student will be able to represent anything faithfully.
1. A strong foundation in Draughtsmanship is built by drawing directly from life. Techniques taught in this module comprise the proper handling of tools, sight size method for accurate proportions, gesture drawing, the interpretation of form using the Form Principle, and composition. Digital tools such as Photoshop are used to demonstrate the principles in a more interactive manner.
2. Masterstudies are performed to build a sense of rhythm, flow and harmony of lines, tones, values, shapes and colours as interpreted by the Grand Masters of Art in Europe. Visits to exhibitions, galleries and shows are encouraged. This also inspires the students to greater standards of technical prowess in the Aesthetic of Classical Realism.
3. The complexity of colour and wet media (such as Oils and Watercolour) is added to the foundation built thus far. The student is encouraged to begin painting on Canvas using layers. The use of a variety of mediums and varnishes to mix and fix the paint is explained. Finally, the student will be able to paint a finished piece of art in full colour.
4. The student will be exposed to avenues in various industries where the skills learnt can be applied for monetization of their creativity.
*The student will be given a full demonstration at every stage.
*The course is for anyone who is willing to draw regardless of their current skill level.
