About Harran
I am an English student who is set to graduate from the University of York in July 2020 with first class honours, having scored the highest mark in the year (85) and averaged 84% in second year exams. The essay scoring 85 is set to be published in an academic journal in the near future.
I have been privately tutoring since September 2019 with a range of students from varying abilities and backgrounds-- including fellow third year university students.
I have experience working with literature from a range of time periods and, by the time of our second session, will ensure that I have read the books you are studying.

My teaching method will be tailored to the specific needs and abilities of the student.
University level classes will be split into two distinct sections. The first will aid with textual analysis and critical research, teaching students how to properly approach a text and utilise relevant critical material. The second will aid in essay writing, teaching students how to isolate a thesis and then structure an essay around developed ideas.
A-level classes will work under a similar guise to university level classes, however (rather than working with complete freedom) the work will be modified to align with the syllabus. Exam preparation will also be included when necessary.
GCSE classes will provide a foundation to learning the language and, if required, preparation for higher forms of study.
