I teach all levels of mathematics, from the very beginning through high school. I learn what a person needs and design a personalized teaching program that fits their learning style.
Everybody learns differently. Some students need to understand why we are doing this (what is the point or purpose), others need visualization techniques, most need penmanship and "organization on the page" learning, others need memorization tricks or alternative problem solving routes.. My expertise is in the simplification of algebraic equations, using the rules of mathematics to change the problems around in order to better understand and solve them. Also, double-checking, quickly, does my answer make sense, how do I know that I am right? I have dedicated my life to the approaches of learning, and I have developed methods that will help you get through your homework assignments, and others that will help you improve your test taking skills. You can come to me for a specific isolated concept, or if you need long term guidance. If you have a desire for success I will devise a strategy for you to reach your goals.
