About Ruben
Hi! I’m Ruben, and I’m a recent A Level student with a strong interest in Maths and Economics. I achieved an A in A Level Maths and am currently taking a gap year before continuing my studies at the University of Bristol.
I’ve always enjoyed Maths because I like the process of breaking down difficult problems and finding clear, logical solutions. I want to teach because I enjoy helping other people reach that same point where something that seemed difficult suddenly starts to make sense.
As a tutor, I’m friendly, patient and easy to talk to. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I’ll adapt my lessons to suit you rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic or aiming for the highest grades possible, I’ll work with you to build both your understanding and confidence.

My approach to tutoring is personal, supportive, and focused on helping students genuinely understand maths rather than simply memorising methods.
Having recently completed A Levels in Maths, I understand the challenges students face and can explain difficult topics in a clear and approachable way. I adapt each lesson to the student’s ability, focusing on the areas they find most difficult while building confidence through plenty of guided practice.
I believe mistakes are an important part of learning, so I create a relaxed environment where students can ask questions and work through problems without feeling pressured. Whether you’re looking to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or simply become more confident with maths, I’ll tailor lessons around your individual goals and pace.
My aim is not just to help you get the right answer, but to make sure you understand why it’s right and feel confident tackling similar problems on your own.
