About Gemma
I have worked in a variety of primary schools teaching children in years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. For 3 years, I was the Literacy leader of a large primary school and I have spent a further year as an Assistant Headteacher. I have also tutored children from EYFS to Year 9 for a well known tuition company. Many of my students have gained entry to top UK Independent Schools.
I have lots of experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). I understand that all children have different backgrounds and barriers to learning. I have experience supporting children for whom English is a foreign language. I also have experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, social and emotional difficulties, speech and language difficulties and dyspraxia. I ensure that the resources in my lessons enable each student to access the curriculum.
I have an up to date DBS certificate available on request.
