About Jacob
Hi, I'm Jacob, a recent graduate of Varndean College in Brighton, where I studied A level Maths (A*), Further Maths (A*), Physics (A) and German. I'm taking a gap year before heading to university to study Economics and Mathematics. I love maths because it rewards patience, and I enjoy the moment when a topic finally clicks for someone. That is why I want to teach. I spent time teaching in Kenya, which taught me to explain ideas in plain language and to adapt to each student's pace. Because I sat these exams so recently, I understand the pressure students are under and can offer practical advice that actually helps.

Lessons are built around what you need. We start by identifying the topics holding you back, then work through them step by step until they make sense. After that we practise with exam-style questions and past papers, and I show you how to set out answers to pick up every method mark. Lessons usually last one hour, beginning with a short recap of the previous session and ending with a few practice questions to take away. They suit GCSE and A level students in Maths, Further Maths and Physics who want to build confidence, fix gaps in understanding or push for the top grades.
