About Reena
I am a dedicated and patient tutor with over two years of teaching experience in Math and Statistics. As a student pursuing dual Associate degrees in Computer Science and Pre-Professional Science, I understand the challenges students face when learning difficult concepts.
I believe math is more than just completing homework or memorizing formulas. Math is built on foundational concepts, and each new concept connects to or builds upon what was learned before. That is why I focus on making sure the fundamentals are clear and understood before moving forward.
I create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions without hesitation. I adapt my teaching style to each student and use different approaches until the concept truly clicks. I will make every effort to ensure that students leave each session with a clear understanding of what they learned and the confidence to approach different types of problems independently.
My goal is not simply to help students finish an assignment, but to help them build a strong mathematical foundation that will continue to help them in future courses.

My teaching approach is centered around understanding, patience, and flexibility. I explain mathematical concepts in different ways and adapt my teaching method to whatever helps each student understand the material best. I believe quality matters more than simply getting the right answer, so I make sure students understand the concept and can confidently apply it to different types of problems.
A typical lesson begins by identifying what the student is struggling with, reviewing the necessary fundamentals, and then working through examples together. As the student becomes more comfortable, I gradually let them solve problems independently while I provide guidance when needed. My goal is for students to leave each lesson feeling more confident and capable.
What sets me apart is my patience and commitment to student understanding. I don't want students to memorize steps without knowing why they work. I want them to develop problem-solving skills they can use beyond a single assignment or exam.
I teach middle school, high school, and college-level mathematics, including courses through Calculus III. I also teach Elementary Statistics and Statistics for Engineers, and I am happy to work with students at different skill levels and learning paces.
