About María
I am a graduate psychologist. I have given private lessons and school support to children and young people in school stage for 9 years. I have focused on the method for managing homework, on teaching a method of learning and study so that in the future the student can study autonomously and not have to continue to resort to a private teacher. I have worked with children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, also with children with mild learning disabilities. For me, the key is to find the motivation of the student and from there teach and repair what you see in class. I have had more experience teaching math, but I also teach German, Spanish and history. All following the same program that the student has in his school.

My teaching method consists of 3 empirical principles: 1. Definition and knowledge of the motivations and tastes of the student to base the study program from there. 2. Establish a formal commitment on the part of the student with the classes. (Something that the student proposes autonomously to fulfill during the classes that moves away from the obligatory imposed by the parents) 3. To resort to the games, rounds and music during the classes to facilitate the learning. The key is to know the student and understand what he likes to make the class more attractive at the beginning and thus hook the student from the beginning. In my experience, academic problems usually have greater explanation in exogenous processes to the student and not necessarily in their cognitive or learning abilities, so that the context and the stories and experiences transmitted by the student are equally important in the whole process of learning.
