About Lauren
My first introduction to formal dance training began at competitive dance studios. I grew up performing, competing, and training in the dance convention circuit throughout the United States.
I went on to focus my training more extensively in concert dance. I've had the opportunity to take take part in numerous summer & winter dance programs before moving to NYC to earn my BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College.
Upon graduating, I joined a contemporary modern dance company with whom I toured domestically and internationally. I have continued to build my base in NYC working part-time with friends, various dance companies, and choreographers. I also dabble in in the commercial dance space.
Overtime, I've gained experience teaching in dance studio settings, master classes, summer intensives, and community classes on the East & West Coast.
My goal is to share my dance experience & knowledge with those around me. You can trust me to provide a well rounded, supportive, challenging, and friendly lesson during our time together. My work as a certified yoga teacher also informs my dance teaching practice.
