Ning has been, not only an absolutely extraordinary teacher, but an incredible mentor. To nurture an environment where one can practice Chinese in comfort and without feeling judged takes tremendous skill - and Ning achieves it with effortless ease. It is fair to say I arrived to her lessons not knowing an ounce of Chinese, not even that ‘nǐ hǎo’ meant ‘hello’.
