About Jiayi
Hello there! My name is Jiayi, you can also call me Florence. I am a native speaker of Mandarin with standard pronunciation. I have been an international student in Canada since high school, and I have graduated from the University of Toronto, where I studied microbiology and nutrition.
Teaching is a personal interest of mine because I enjoy communicating with people and I love helping others using my knowledge. Being a second language learner and user myself, I fully understand how difficult it is to learn a new language. It takes a lot of effort and perseverance, and I am here to help! I have tutoring experience in high school as well as from the university, where I helped my classmates to improve their understanding of the class material.
