I have been dancing for 17 years with 5 years of full-time professional training.
Dance has many benefits such as discipline, co-ordination, strength, flexibility, confidence, responsibility and increased mental wellbeing. And I am eager for you to reap these rewards.
I want to teach and encourage people, of all ages regardless of ability, gender, sexuality, and body type to dance, as I strive to create a safe space for creativity and learning.
IT IS OKAY TO FAIL. Personally, I love failure, as I know this means success is just around the corner, failing while learning a new skill builds our resilience! We are in this together, my job is to help you learn and go above and beyond your initial goals, if something is too hard, or we aren't getting it quite right, then we can re-evaluate and approach things in another way.

My lessons are tailored to the needs and goals of the student. Whether this is in preparation for exams, building strength and flexibility or to gain some extra floorwork skills and become more grounded.
I have been in full time professional training for 5 years. With 2 years at pre-professional Ballet School and 3 years at a Contemporary Dance Conservatoire. I have since received a 1st Class Honours degree from my undergraduate course at Trinity Laban and continue working as a professional in the industry.
I am happy to teach all ages and levels as long as there is a willingness to learn. I will accommodate the goals and desires of the student while encouraging discipline and a pace that challenges YOU.
Depending on your goals and what you need alongside your dance training, we can build a personalised plan of conditioning exercises; strengthening, stretches, functional movements. Working through your plan regularly will give you definite results and a clear improvement in your dancing!
Ballet and Cunningham are both technically challenging techniques, however, both are very rewarding. Teaching you co-ordination, strength, artistry, memory skills, decision making, and elegance.
Release technique is very grounding; a large space is required for this to allow for floorwork. Overall this technique plays with the balance between weighted momentum and purposeful strength to allow a free flow in exercises. We will also take from yoga practices to learn proper form and strength that will benefit us for movements that take us upside down and all around.
The durational length of lessons can be adjusted to personal preference, however, a longer duration is encouraged to ensure safer practice as it would allow for a proper warm-up and cool-down. However I can teach you suitable warm-up and cool-down exercises that can be done independently before and after each lesson.
I suggest 1hr 30mins per lesson.
Consistent lessons are encouraged if you approach these lessons for technical improvement, but if this is for personal enjoyment then a strict consistency may not be necessary for you.
