Hi! I’m a 19-year-old college student majoring in nursing and planning to attend medical school. I recently completed an accelerated math program that included AP Calculus and AP Statistics, so I’m very familiar with algebra concepts and how they’re taught today. Because I went through these courses not long ago, I understand the challenges students face and can explain material in a clear, relatable way. My goal is to make math feel less intimidating and more approachable. I specialize in tutoring Algebra 1 and Elementary Algebra, with a strong focus on homework help and test preparation. Because I recently completed these same courses, I’m familiar with common problem types and teaching styles used in schools today.
I focus heavily on homework support and test preparation. During lessons, we review assignments together, work through problems in real time, and address any gaps in understanding. For test prep, I help students review key concepts, practice problem-solving strategies, and learn how to approach questions with confidence. I also teach students how to organize their work and avoid common mistakes.
My teaching style is patient and encouraging, and I adjust the pace based on the student’s comfort level. I believe mistakes are part of learning, and I create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions. My goal is not just to help students complete their work, but to help them understand the material and feel more confident moving forward.
