About Maya
My journey in mathematics began with a deep interest in patterns and the way logical structures can explain so many aspects of the world. This curiosity led me to complete a B.Sc in Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Mathematical Analysis. Over the past 9 years of teaching, I have helped students overcome fear, confusion, and doubt by creating a supportive environment where questions are welcomed and concepts become meaningful. Whether teaching elementary school math fundamentals or advanced algebraic reasoning, I always adapt to the learner’s comfort level. I focus on patience, clarity, and the belief that every student can understand mathematics with proper guidance. My teaching style includes visual models, relatable examples, gentle correction, and steady encouragement. I enjoy helping students discover their strengths and develop confidence, especially when preparing for high-stakes assessments like SAT math. Watching learners transform from uncertainty to genuine understanding is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work. Outside the classroom, I continue exploring mathematics through reading, small research projects, and studying modern teaching approaches. Advanced sessions focus on multi-step reasoning, complex algebraic structures, modeling, coordinate geometry, and exam-style practice. Students receive individualized guidance that matches their pace and strengthens both conceptual understanding and analytical thinking.
