About Yazid
I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate with a maths focused master’s in Engineering with Management from King’s College London. Throughout my degrees I have used maths every day in areas such as algebra, calculus and mechanics, and I graduated with strong results. I have also mentored other university students and supported GCSE and A level pupils with their maths, helping them prepare for exams and understand challenging topics. My teaching style is calm, patient and structured. I explain ideas step by step, work through examples, then guide students as they try questions themselves until they feel confident working independently. I am very adaptable and I always welcome feedback from students and parents. If you tell me what is working well or what you would like me to change, I will adjust my pace, explanations or lesson structure to suit you. I am reliable, professional and easy to talk to, and I am genuinely interested in helping students improve their grades and feel more comfortable with maths.

My lessons are calm and at the student’s pace. I like to start by going through a few example questions myself so the student can see each step and ask questions. Then we do similar questions together, where I guide them and help them think through the method. After that, I let them try questions on their own, giving help only where needed so they build real confidence and independence. A typical lesson is 45 to 60 minutes, which gives us enough time to review a topic, practise questions and clear up any doubts. I have mentored students in maths during university and I have a strong maths background from my Mechanical Engineering degree and my Engineering master’s, both of which are very maths focused. My lessons are for school students of all abilities, from younger years up to GCSE and A level maths. Whether you are aiming to pass, improve your grade or push for top marks, I can adapt the pace and difficulty to what you need.
