About Emery
I discovered my passion for mathematics through analyzing patterns, problem-solving, and logical reasoning. This led me to pursue an M.Sc in Mathematical Sciences, where I studied algebra, geometry, data analysis, and modeling. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped students from elementary school math through middle school math, algebra, geometry, and SAT math, building both analytical skills and confidence. I teach with patience, clarity, and adaptability, using visual aids, structured explanations, and real-world examples to make concepts accessible. I foster curiosity, independent problem-solving, and analytical thinking in a supportive learning environment. Outside teaching, I explore advanced mathematical techniques, problem-solving strategies, and educational innovations to enrich lessons. Exercises emphasize reasoning, conceptual understanding, and the application of skills to unfamiliar scenarios.
Advanced lessons cover higher-order algebra, geometric proofs, data analysis, and mathematical modeling. Students are encouraged to evaluate multiple solution paths, justify reasoning, and connect concepts to real-world applications. My teaching emphasizes clarity, structured guidance, and encouragement, ensuring learners gain mastery, confidence, and a long-lasting appreciation for mathematics.
