About Oliver
Having recently come out of Sixth Form and GCSE mathematics, I am hugely familiar with the content and past papers students will be undertaking, and can approach problems from a more personable, understanding perspective when compared with a teacher.
Additionally, I have used and have access to a variety of revision resources and given my current studies can offer advice on best practice for revision and studying methods.
Furthermore, as an A-level student, I can offer advice on subject choices, as well as university choices and applications for any GCSE students thinking of their future.
I hope to primarily connect with my students and develop an open, honest relationship with them focused entirely on their academic progression, and feeling comfortable with maths - it is a tough subject, and is an obstacle for many when it doesn't have to be. Helping my students build their confidence in a subject which often takes it away is paramount to me, and I hope to improve the academic prospects of everyone I have the opportunity to work with.

-Before tutoring begins, me and my students will discuss their strengths, weaknesses, and what they aim to get out of our sessions.
- Bearing that in mind, I will create lessons using the wealth of online study materials freely available to students, running through questions and concepts as they see fit, until they have an advanced understanding of the topic being taught.
- Once enough progress has been made, tutoring sessions running through exam papers, in or out of exam conditions, will take place and we will analyse the progress made, and areas for improvement in the future.
-Will focus on exam technique, timing, and in-depth subject understanding.
-Sessions can last anywhere from an hour onwards, aimed at GCSE level and below mathematics content.
-Previously hired as an Explore learning tutor, and currently have one regular private student.
