My methodology for teaching is formed into 2 steps. Step 1: is to create a little background information to a topic prior to the lesson beginning, For example if I was to give a lesson about the Pythagoras Theorem, I would give some insight to how the theorem works, how it was created or how it is used in modern day society. I believe this gives students a deeper understanding of the subject, rather than just reading something off notes and memorising. Next, Step 2, I would start the lesson by first showing how a question is worded, how to figure out what you need for the answer, and show the student how to sufficiently answer the question, I would walkthrough around 3 example question before giving the student a few questions to practice on their own. Each lesson would take around 1 hour, 10 minutes for step 1, 50 minutes for step 2. These lessons are for GCSE students from ages 14-16. I can also teach students who are taking their SATs at the end of year 6 , teaching them the content they need to learn like arithmetic, fractions, place value, geometry and everything else on the curriculum.
