About Nishka
I am an A-level student at a top Grammar School in the North West and have aspirations to study medicine at university. I have always had a strong passion for mathematics, which has manifested into a passion to teach the same. I believe that transferring knowledge to others is incredibly rewarding, and as a result I enjoy teaching wholeheartedly. Throughout my student life I have developed a range of skills, both academically and extracurricularly. This has helped me become a well-rounded individual, and therefore I believe that I can pass on my knowledge of such an interesting subject to the next generation.

I believe in student-led teaching when it comes to teaching a skill-based subject such as mathematics. I provide pathways and guidance towards an answer rather than the answer itself, to give the student the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding in the topic. As a student myself, I have always found understanding a concept to be the best way forward, as opposed to accepting a concept, hence fundamental understanding is at the forefront of my teaching.
Typically, lessons would last between 45minutes to an hour, however duration can be flexible based on the student's needs.
I have had extensive experience as a Mathematics mentor at school and have gained valuable communication skills. Building a solid rapport with my mentees has been a skill that I have refined and as a result will filter into my work as a tutor.
My lessons are for students studying 11+ level, KS3 and GCSE level maths.
