Learn Portuguese in a practical and fun way! Personalized classes for non-native speakers—ideal for business, travel, adults, and children.

Christiane was my native portuguese speaker for my intensive summer language program where I learned 4 semesters of Brazilian Portuguese in one summer. She is very patient, kind, and cares about each of her students. She kept up with the pace of the program, and brought students who couldn't even say 'Obrigado' all the way to low conversation in just 8 weeks. She took us to Brazilian restaurants, showed us portuguese books and content, and talked with us as much as possible. Without her, I wouldn't have learned even half the portuguese I know today.

I had the opportunity to learn Portuguese with Cristiane at San Diego State University through the Project GO program, and she was an incredible professor! She made learning a new language fun, engaging, and approachable through interactive activities, partner work, and meaningful lessons that went beyond just the language. She also incorporated Brazilian culture and customs into the classroom, which made the experience so much more immersive and memorable.

Cristiane is patient, understanding, encouraging, and genuinely cares about her students. She created a classroom environment where I felt comfortable practicing, making mistakes, asking questions, and continuing to improve. I learned so much from her over the summer and would highly recommend Cristiane to anyone looking to learn Portuguese in an engaging, supportive, and enjoyable environment!

I know Cristiane through her being a teachers assistant when I had the opportunity to be apart of Project Global Officer (Project GO) offered at San Diego State University in 2024. She helped not only teach me about the language of Portuguese itself, but also about the culture of Brazil. We would watch Brazilian movies, eat authentic food, read and write poetry, and do other various activities that were not only beneficial in the classroom, but in every day fluent speaking. Thanks to her time and dedication, I was able to achieve a score of 2 on an Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) in a span of three months when the goal of my course was to get me to a level 1. I cannot recommend Cristiane more as a professor for this course and know she will prove to be a valuable asset.
