About Isabela

Hello, everyone! I'm Bela, a 23-year-old Brazilian who recently graduated from Brandeis University with a degree in psychology. I've had the opportunity to explore four out of seven continents, starting in Brazil, then moving to America. I spent a month in Spain, lived in Australia for six months, and traveled in New Zealand for a week. With these experiences, I've developed a deep passion for travel and fostering connections between people and diverse parts of the world. Currently, I work full-time supporting children through therapy, which is another one of my passions.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
I believe in a conversational approach, emphasizing practical communication skills. We'll engage in dialogue, practice real-life scenarios, and use everyday vocabulary. I also incorporate games, videos, and music to make the learning experience engaging and memorable.

Typical Lesson Plan:

New Vocabulary (10 minutes): Introducing new words and phrases through interactive activities.
Grammar Point (15 minutes): Explaining grammar concepts with examples and practice exercises.
Conversation Practice (20 minutes): Applying newly learned vocabulary and grammar in a conversational setting.
Cultural Insights (10 minutes): Discussing cultural aspects, traditions, and customs of Spanish and Portuguese-speaking regions.
Review and Homework (10 minutes): Summarizing key points and assigning practice exercises for reinforcement.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
My approach is personalized and adaptable to individual learning styles. I create a supportive and encouraging environment, where mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn. I prioritize building a strong foundation in both language skills and cultural understanding.

Who the Lessons Are For:
These lessons are suitable for anyone eager to learn Spanish and Portuguese, regardless of prior experience. Whether you're a beginner or intermediate learner, my goal is to help you progress and enjoy the journey of becoming a confident communicator in these languages.
