About Amber
My name is Amber Moon, and I am a qualified and experienced Secondary Maths teacher with a genuine love for helping students uncover the wonders of mathematics. With 11 years of experience in schools, and 5 years as an Assistant Examiner, under my belt, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). These experiences have enriched my teaching approach, allowing me to create inclusive and effective learning environments for every student I encounter. As much as I enjoy the excitement of the classroom, life has presented me with a unique living situation. My daughter and I have chosen to embrace the freedom and tranquillity of living on a narrowboat, navigating the waters of the Kennet and Avon Canal – with a few bumps along the way! It is amidst this beautiful natural setting that I find inspiration and the perfect space to create my virtual classroom. I am passionate about providing accessible and quality education to students, especially during crucial milestones such as GCSE exams, whether you're struggling with a challenging concept or need to secure a specific grade for higher education. I am thrilled to offer higher impact, cost effective, group and one-to-one, online tuition sessions tailored specifically for students sitting their GCSE Maths exams. I truly believe that everyone is able to be successful with mathematics. I design my lessons to build on previous knowledge, increase confidence and head for success. This is tailored to each individual student by analysing past work and mock exams. I am familiar with the Edexcel, OCR and AQA curriculum and the recent changes to the GCSE syllabus.

Perfect! I would highly recommend Amber as a Maths tutor. She was always very enthusiastic and great at getting Mimi to engage in a subject she found difficult.
