About Siobhan
I am a dedicated Mathematics graduate with a lifelong passion for logic and problem-solving. Throughout my academic journey, I often saw my peers struggle with maths, not because they lacked ability, but because the concepts weren't explained in a way that clicked for them. This realisation is exactly why I became a tutor.
I want to teach because I love that "lightbulb moment" when a student finally understands a concept they thought was impossible to learn. My goal is to break down the barrier of maths anxiety and show students that with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement, anyone can master mathematics and excel in their exams.

My maths lessons are structured to build confidence and eliminate the fear of numbers. I start every session by reviewing the student’s current school topics and identifying any foundational gaps that might be holding them back. I break down complex algebraic formulae and calculus concepts into simple, visual steps using an interactive online whiteboard.
Instead of just teaching rules for memorisation, I focus on the "why" behind the mathematics so students can solve problems independently. At the end of each lesson, we work through real exam questions together to master exam techniques and time management. I provide optional, targeted homework tasks to reinforce learning between our sessions.
