About Adalena
I have a memory for details like a steel trap and a great one-on-one teaching style. I have done very well academically and am ready to start passing on my skills and strategies to students. Since I'm still immersed in the scholarly world, I can relate well to the struggles to learn and retain knowledge. The first step is to get to know my student: their strongest and weakest skills, their learning style, and what they want to get out of our lessons.
Next I assess what they know already; a big part of teaching is cultivating what other teachers have laid down as groundwork and what the student has taught themselves. From there, we can build up fundamentals and add nuance ad infinitum.
