About Cameryn
I offer online tutoring services to elementary, high school, and college age individuals. I've offered tutoring services online through Chegg.com so I'm comfortable communicating in this format. I went to college to get my degree in chemistry/Pre-pharmacy but will be going back to get my degree in Human Services. During my undergrad carrer I took classes including Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Calculus.
Knowing that I'm helping a child, and that child's family in a way, is the best part of tutoring. I grew up in a town where families often struggled and being able to help a family in any way truly does mean a lot to me.
I started tutoring online through chegg.com in the summer of 2020.
I have one class to finish up before I have my degree in Pre-pharmacy/Chemistry track. I've taken various chemistry classes including basic chemistry, inorganic and organic, analytical, and the lab components for each of these. I've taken basic biology as well as genetics, anatomy, and physiology. Math classes taken include algebra, statistics, and calculus.

Before begining I think it's important to understand where the student is with his/her studies and determine where the student, or the student's parent, wants to be at. Determining a long term goal is important so that I can understand what type of help the student needs during a session. For example, some students might need help with homework whereas others might be behind in a certain subject and are looking to get caught up.
I prefer to do tutoring sessions over Zoom or a similar application. If you're located in Charleston I'm more than happy to set up an in person meeting as well.
Online, I've tutored college age students only. In person, I've only worked with elementary age children. The current pandemic affected the way the local schooling system operated in the spring of 2020, giving me the chance to help younger family members with their studies on a daily basis.
To college students: I recieved more help from tutors that were in college that I did from a local high school teacher that taught the subject. I found that tutors that recently took the class were more knowlegable than the teachers that took the class years ago.
