About Matthew
Hello!
My name is Matthew and I am a rising junior studying computer science at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
I have experience tutoring high school and middle school age students in mathematics. Now, I also want to help young computer scientists progress in their foundational knowledge of CS and ability to complete the projects that interest them.
My coding proficiencies include Java, Python, C/C++, software design and data structures. Check out some of my work in my github profile down below.

Matt was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is an extraordinary young man with the amazing gift of teaching. Matt is kind, helpful and extremely patient with the students he tutors. Not only did he take his time to ensure I was actually learning, Matt helped me understand a topic I had previously found very challenging. He adapts to the style of teaching the student learns best with, in my case visuals, and always implemented them into his lessons. He is always on time, polite and the perfect example of what a tutor should be.
Matt tutored me in calc 2 multiple times. He is so helpful and patient. Calc 2 can be a rigorous class, and he always knew how to give me small hints without giving away the answer. Further, he was so good at explaining/ walking me through topics which I was confused about or unfamiliar with. Would recommend him to anyone struggling in math!
