About Lucy
As a passionate and experienced educator, I bring over 5 years of professional teaching experience to my tutoring sessions. Having worked as a Primary School Teacher across Years 3, 4, and 6, I’m well-versed in preparing children for important exams like SATS, the 11+, and IELTS. I have also lived and worked in Vietnam for a year, teaching Vietnamese children aged 4-12 with language learning and phonics. In addition, I’ve taught in diverse Primary education settings, working with children from up to 15 different language backgrounds. This has given me valuable experience in tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each learner. I take pride in creating a friendly, engaging, and often humorous environment that makes learning fun and interactive. My approach is to build strong rapport with each student, getting to know their individual interests and needs, which allows me to tailor lessons in a way that resonates with them.
