About Katrina
I am a passionate educator with a strong academic background in mathematics and machine learning. I hold an Honours Specialization in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s in Data Science and Machine Learning, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Beyond my studies, I serve on the advisory board at Eastern University for their School of Mathematics and Computational Sciences, helping shape the future of math education.
Currently, I am the Machine Learning Math Lead at Cohere for AI, an open science research lab where I teach the mathematical foundations behind cutting-edge AI algorithms.
With over 15 years of tutoring experience, I have helped students of all levels—from high school to university—develop confidence in math. My passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom; as a karate coach, I have honed my ability to break down complex concepts into clear, understandable steps.
