About Imogen
Hi, I am currently a student at Sheffield University studying materials science and engineering. I did chemistry, maths and physics A levels, achieving A*s in all 3. Outside term time I live in the north east London area, and so would be hoping to tutor in this area.
I have previously tutored a GCSE pupil in chemistry and physics in preparation for their AQA GCSE combined sciences exams. The pupil was originally getting 3s, but ended up getting a 7 on results day. I have also mentored a yr6 pupil in maths and general wellbeing, and I currently spend time helping to explain the maths on my course to my coursemates who did not do A level maths.

I give lessons in maths, chemistry and physics to yr5-11 pupils, and lessons in maths and chemistry to A level pupils, who are are hoping to improve there grades, along with their understanding of the subject as a whole. I aim to help explain things in a clearer way than pupils will have heard in their classes at school, and tailor the way I explain a concept to the learning style of the particular pupil I have. I like to break concepts down to the basics and then look at them from different angles to ensure a full understanding. I believe practice questions are very important when learning STEM subjects, and so I go through many practice questions with pupils.
