I had the first opportunity to learn from Akhil Sai sir around 2 years ago. He had mentored me very well and was always patient with me. Whenever solving problems or writing essays, he would guide me with patience and help me gain clarity. Akhil sir would make me understand hard STEM topics like calculus, laws of motion, and thermodynamics with ease and deepen my interest in the subject and that of applied sciences and develop my interest in arts as a hobby (engineering, history, etc.) which was really helped in my journey to become a polymath. But what was most beneficial to me was how even at times when my severe lack of confidence got to my thinking, Akhil sir would always remain encouraging and reassure me that my aptitude was sufficient. His philosophy was always one to understand and apply instead of rote memorization. My time with Akhil sir as my mentor was fruitful and enlightening. I hope other students can be mentored wisely the same way I was.
