About Chim
Hi! I’m Chim.
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I ask a lot of questions. Probably too many lol.
As an engineer also, I have always been curious about why things work the way they do, and that’s exactly how I teach as well.
I don’t enjoy memorizing formulas, and I don’t expect my students to either. If we can understand the logic behind something, remembering it becomes so much easier.
Outside teaching, I’ve worked in writing, marketing and creative strategy, where explaining complicated ideas in a simple way is a huge part of the job.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I enjoy teaching just as much.
I promise my classes won’t feel like another school lecture. We’ll solve problems together, laugh at silly mistakes (because we’ll definitely make a few lol moments together) and you’ll never have to pretend you understood something when you didn’t.
So if you’re looking for someone who’s patient, easy to talk to, and genuinely wants you to get it instead of just pass the exam, I’d love to help.

I’ve never believed that people are “bad at math.”
Most of the time, they were just taught in a way that made them memorize formulas instead of understanding the "why" behind them.
That’s how I approach my classes too. Before jumping into formulas, I make sure the logic behind them makes sense. Once you understand the “why,” the “how” becomes much easier to remember.
A typical class starts by understanding the concept with simple examples from everyday life, followed by solving questions together and then independently. I encourage students to ask as many questions as they want, even if they think they’re silly.

Whether you’re preparing for school exams, boards, competitive exams or just trying to stop being scared of math, I’ll adapt the lessons to your pace.
My goal isn’t just to help you solve today’s questions, it’s to help you become the kind of student who can solve tomorrow’s questions without feeling stuck.
