About Ashlesha
Hi, I'm Ashlesha! I hold a master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from Northwestern University and work as an AI engineer. Math has been at the center of my studies and work for years. Everything I build, from machine learning models to data analysis, relies on the same foundations I teach: algebra, logic, and clear step-by-step thinking.
I got into tutoring because I remember how it felt when math suddenly clicked, and I love helping students get to that moment. I'm patient, organized, and I take each student's goals seriously, whether that's passing a test, raising a grade, or simply feeling less anxious in math class.
I believe good tutoring is about more than getting the right answer. It's about building confidence and the kind of problem-solving skills that help in school and beyond. Parents can expect clear communication, reliable scheduling, and honest feedback on progress.

Hi! I'm Ashlesha, an AI engineer who genuinely loves math, and I enjoy helping students finally feel good about it.
A lot of students tell me they're "just not math people." In my experience, that's rarely true. Usually nobody took the time to explain things in a way that clicked. That's what I try to do. I go step by step, explain why things work instead of just handing out formulas, and use everyday examples so the ideas actually stick. If something doesn't make sense, we slow down and try a different angle. There's no rush and no judgment.
Most lessons start with whatever's on your mind: homework, a test coming up, or a topic from class that felt confusing. Then we work through it together. I explain, you try a few problems while I guide you, and by the end you should feel confident doing it on your own. I usually leave a few practice questions so the progress continues between lessons.
I teach arithmetic, algebra, geometry and logic to elementary, middle and high school students, whether you're catching up, keeping up, or getting ahead. Lessons are online, so you can learn from home.
