About Bon Jorelle

Hi, I’m Bon! I’m a Computer Science graduate and former senior high school programming teacher. Today, I work as an instructional designer, creating learning experiences for working professionals.

I enjoy the creative side of programming. In my classes, a lesson on loops could become a character’s training routine, with students writing the code behind it. Seeing students get interested in what they could build was one of my favorite parts of teaching.

I’m easy to talk to and happy to explain things another way. You can tell me when something doesn’t make sense. I enjoy working through those moments together, especially when you start coming up with ideas of your own.

About the class

I teach programming to high school and college students, focusing on C++ and programming fundamentals. I previously taught senior high school programming and currently work as an instructional designer.

Lessons can follow your coursework, whether you need help understanding a topic or working through a programming exercise. You can bring your class materials and code, and we’ll work through them together at your pace.

I’ll explain the reasoning as we go and help you work through errors, with time for you to try things yourself. We can also use small projects to practice concepts and explore what you enjoy about programming.
