I assign extremely specific writing goals each week, tracked against a demanding personal benchmark that tightens progressively as a student improves over time. Mock exams under maximum realistic pressure happen constantly, since I have watched too many talented writers collapse under time pressure they never trained for directly. I push hard, deliberately, because the real exam room will push far harder than I ever could in a lesson. Comfort is never the goal here; genuine readiness always is the only priority.
