About Sean
Math was always my favorite subject. It was like a game I got to play in school; a puzzle really. I took AP Math classes through high school and when I got to college, I took Calculus a second time just for fun.
I graduated with a B.S. in Cognitive Science at the University of California Santa Cruz, where I focused in Artificial Intelligence.
Sounds very serious, but I like to make math fun with my students and really understanding what your learning makes you that much more confident when you're faced with a new problem to solve.

Math has always appealed to me because of its logic. Showing how it all can make sense no matter how difficult the problem is why I enjoy sharing this universal language. I'm easy going and encouraging, and will help you succeed in math.
In classes, I like to first see what you have a good understanding of, and then we can tackle the concepts giving the most trouble.
By solving problems using techniques and shortcuts we can make solving them not as treacherous and repetitive, but I will always make sure to teach how they really work, so that we have the confidence to use these tricks in any situation.
I have taken classes up to college level Calculus, but I enjoy solving any problem.
