About Sandra
Hello! My name is Sandra, I am Portuguese (from Madeira, living in Lisbon) and I have a degree in English and Business studies.
I taught English as a second language for 2,5 years at Wall Street English and I am currently working as a freelance language coach!
I love helping people with their language learning process; it's an incredibly rewarding experience to see students starting to enjoy the process and improving their communication skills.

My Profile as a Teacher:
Learning is not a fixed process and it varies from student to student. I believe that as a teacher my role is to aid the help you find the best, more motivational and effective way of learning a language as it should something exciting and light.
Students normally feel at ease and confident with me - I enjoy simplifying things and always make sure students feel comfortable making mistakes and taking any feedback as positive.
My Lessons & Teaching Style:
On my lessons, we usually discuss and explore a topic of your interest. It could be from talking about a news piece, your goals for the future or even preparing a dialogue for a specific situation. We can also work with music lyrics (I especially love this one), an excerpt from your favourite book in English or even a movie.
Any grammar questions will be clarified and I will help with word pronunciation. I put great emphasis on fluency and quality of interaction as in real life, these are some of the major aspects that will boost your communication.
