About Ahmed
I am a final-year PhD student who is passionate about science and how it impacts people and the world. I deeply believe that science is for all people to understand, enjoy, and marvel at. It isn't exclusive to those who work in it! For that reason, I am very passionate about teaching and communicating science. I always seek that aha moment when my students understand something I've explained to them. In the past 6+ years, I've engaged in different teaching, tutoring, and mentoring experiences; I have taught in university classrooms, tutored students privately one-on-one and in groups, and supervised student research projects at university.

- I view tutoring as a two-way learning experience: I like to start by learning more about the student's educational needs and the way they think in order to come up with the most suitable teaching plan.
- I think of teaching as teamwork: I am on your team and our goal is to reach a point of understanding and competency that allows you to excel in your coursework and exams. I try to engage the student by always having a hands-on exercise that we attempt together - breaking down the problem as we go through it.
- I like to use relevant and real-life examples to simplify and clarify complicated and abstract concepts.
- In my lessons, there are no silly questions. Sometimes, seemingly "silly" questions are the most important ones to ask.
