About Marsha

My professional journey spans more than 20 years, taking me from classroom teaching through senior leadership into school improvement, the charitable sector and industry

This breadth of experience has shaped my understanding of learning, personal development and the opportunities available beyond formal education.

I am passionate about helping young people recognise their strengths, challenge perceived limitations and explore possibilities they may not have considered.

I believe ambition should never be limited by circumstance, lack of information or access to opportunities. My approach is encouraging, practical and honest, with a genuine commitment to helping each young person find their own path.

About the class

My sessions are personalised, interactive and designed around the individual rather than a fixed teaching programme. We begin by exploring the young person's aspirations, identifying any barriers to progression and establishing what they would like to achieve.

Depending on their needs, sessions might focus on exploring university or apprenticeship pathways, developing a compelling university application, preparing for interviews, building effective study strategies or understanding how to make the best use of approved examination access arrangements.

My approach combines purposeful conversation, practical activities and constructive challenge. I encourage young people to reflect on their experiences, recognise their strengths and consider opportunities beyond those already familiar to them.

Each session aims to develop greater clarity, confidence and independence, with practical next steps that the young person can take forward.

Above all, I provide a supportive environment where questions are encouraged, aspirations are taken seriously and young people are empowered to make informed decisions about their futures.
